Swinburne Sarawak is continually committed to improving accessibility of our websites.

We currently have implemented key design elements, which will aid in allowing all visitors to have access to Swinburne websites, these include:


Text

Fonts and text sizes on this site are designed to maximise readability for visitors with visual impairments on all devices and is compatible with most screen readers.


Colours

Colours used on this site maintain contrast ratios consistent with WCAG 2.0 Level A requirements.


Images

All non-decorative images contain a descriptive alt tag for visually impaired visitors.


Tables

Tables are used to display tabular data only and are not used in the design or page layout.


HTML

The HTML structure of the website is consistent with WCAG 2.0 Level A requirements and makes use of HTML accessibility tags where appropriate.


Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

This site uses cascading style sheets to apply all visual design elements.  Inline styles are not used for the purposes of design.


Form Labels

All form elements include label tags where possible.  In the event that a label tag is not available, a title tag is used to describe the form element.


Responsive design

This site is designed to be compatible with multiple devices and will resize automatically to suit tablets and mobile screens.
