The appointee will be responsible for areas as designated by the Manager, Campus Services Unit. These include:
  • Provide high level support to the University staff and students;
  • Develop and maintain various procedural and technical documentations on areas of customer service and application support;
  • Communicate and negotiate with vendor on project implementation;
  • Manage performance of the customer service to meet a service target of 99.5% of service tickets resolved within an agreed time frame (SLA);
  • Resolve work related issue pro-actively and improve work processes; and
  • Direct and coordinate activities of help desk staff engaged in computer operations by performing the duties personally or through subordinates.

Accountant – Business Intelligence Analyst

The position will provide business performance support which will include developing and implementing business intelligence (BI) and tech savvy tools for data visualisation, business analysis for strategic planning and decision-making, budget and budgetary control, costing and management reports for Management Units, management of financial operations, risk management and annual unit action plan. In addition, the position will work closely with Manager, FBA on finance digitalisation transformation. The position will undertake a variety of duties in a busy office environment, working independently whilst exercising judgement to prioritise tasks in order to meet the deadlines set.

The position will be required to work within a culture of continuous improvement and will be supported and encouraged to identify areas where efficiency can be improved and control measures can be implemented to achieve a higher standard.

The position requires a high level of financial, report presentation, clerical and secretarial skills including Microsoft Excel and Words, time management and good communication skills. The position is also expected to work effectively in a team environment and to interact effectively with the University staff and relevant Heads of Management Units, and to the public in providing quality customer service at all times.

      MARKETING AND STUDENT RECRUITMENT

      Executive, Student Recruitment (Emerging Regions) [based in West Malaysia]

      The position is responsible for marketing the University and its products and services in Malaysia and/or international markets. This involves contributing to:
      • Execute marketing and student recruitment plans to increase international enrolment into the University;
      • Develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders including agents and school officials in West Malaysia to attract prospects from the region to study in Swinburne Sarawak;
      • Provide advice to students on courses and other matters related to studying at Swinburne Sarawak;
      • Process student applications efficiently and effectively; and
      • Execute marketing activities in collaboration with academics.

      POLICY, PLANNING AND QUALITY

      Officer

      The general responsibilities of this position include internal and external quality assurance duties, general administrative duties, the provision of information and assistance to the Manager and other staff members in PPQ for the unit to fulfil its key responsibilities. The administrative duties include, but are not limited to, arrangement of meetings with internal staff members and external parties, taking minutes of meetings, making travel arrangements, information and fact finding, management and entry of data, maintenance of filing systems as well as some analytical tasks.

      Working under direction from the Manager or nominee, the position will be required, among others, to provide support to the unit to monitor internal quality assurance plans, provide support on quality management across Swinburne Sarawak in internal and external accreditation and reaccreditation, as well as contribute to continuous improvement in the implementation of the Approach-Deployment-Result-Implementation (ADRI) quality management system (QMS) at Swinburne Sarawak.

      In undertaking these responsibilities, the position will be expected to exhibit a highly professional approach in working closely and collaboratively with management and staff members at both the Sarawak and Melbourne campuses, work with a broad range of staff at the Sarawak campus to ensure that a range of deliverables are met and work with considerable autonomy and acting with minimal supervision.

      STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

      The primary focus of this position is to proactively assist and support the Manager, Student Systems and Administration and Assistant Manager, Student Administration to provide supervision to a broad range of administrative tasks and record management, which includes providing information and assistance to Swinburne Sarawak students, staff and external stakeholders, in relation to the student administration function.

      This position is responsible for providing and ensuring that the functions which include duties listed below are carried out in a highly coordinated, professional and effective manner: –
      • Handle enquiries from various platforms in the University including walk-in, phone calls and servicedesk.
      • Act as Enrolment Liaison officer for assigned School/Faculty, covering student enrolment/re-enrolment, course transfer and articulation, leave of absence and withdrawal.
      • Maintain, monitor and track the students’ records accuracy and integrity.
