CONFERENCE PRESENTATION FORMATS

CONTRIBUTED PAPER:  (30 minutes time period, including questions):  A presentation of a single paper in which the authors share the methodology and results of their research.  A contributed paper may be a research report, a case study, a methodological presentation, or a theoretical or conceptual paper.  The proposal should address the following areas, if applicable:  introduction and perspective; purpose; literature review; data source; methodology or approach; results and/or conclusions; and implications for institutional researchers.  These papers will also be considered for possible publication in the SEAAIR journal, subject to adequate referee reports.

PANEL:  (30 minutes time period):  The presentation of a single topic, which requires the participation of several discussants for adequate coverage (eg., contrasting views on current issues; differing academic program review procedures).  The proposal should describe the topic and major points to be made or debated by the panelists.  It should also describe how the differing perspectives of each proposed panelist would contribute to the development of the topic.
