Engineering students at Swinburne Sarawak have an option to complete six to 12 months of IBL relevant to their course of study. Engineering students must go through three months of compulsory industrial training in order to graduate.

Living and Learning Environment

The Sarawak campus is only 15 minutes from the Kuching city centre, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Sarawak. Besides providing a safe and conducive learning environment, the city has good infrastructure and facilities such as banking, telecommunication and transportation.

Apart from the lower course fees, the cost of living in Kuching is also reasonably lower compared to other major towns and cities in Malaysia.

Intercampus Transfer

Flexibility is the hallmark of a Swinburne education. While you have the option of completing your studies in Kuching, you may transfer to complete them in Melbourne, subject to meeting the appropriate criteria. Additional majors are also available in Australia.

Student Exchange Program

If you seek the experience of studying overseas, you may apply to participate in a student exchange program. It offers selected undergraduates from the Sarawak campus (those in the second year onwards) an unmatched opportunity to enrich their tertiary learning experience in Melbourne at Malaysian costs.

Cost Saving

You will find that it is affordable to pursue tertiary education at Swinburne Sarawak as the fees are only a fraction of the cost of studying in Australia.
