Managers are vital in setting the strategic direction and overseeing the general running of an organisation. Managers have a role in all fields of business, they may organise and manage people, finances, resources, processes, events and projects. It is an esteemed career path for the creative and proactive, who enjoy working with and getting the best out of people, have excellent communication skills and envision themselves to be near the top of the company. The Bachelor of Commerce (Management) is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills for a career in the management sphere.

In addition to the university’s graduate attributes, graduates of the Bachelor of Commerce (Management) will be:

  • knowledgeable about the principles and practice of contemporary management
  • have a strong understanding of leadership and organisational dynamics
  • be able to communicate effectively in a business-like manner to a variety of stakeholders
  • able to work effectively in teams

For completion of the Bachelor of Commerce (Management) students are required to complete a total of 24 units of study (300 credit points) consisting of:

  • A Management professional major consisting of 16 units (200 credit points);
  • Eight (8) additional units that can be undertaken either as a co-major (8 units), two minors (4 units each), or pathways credit;
  • The not-for-credit unit, Careers in the Curriculum
