This course equips you for further studies across a range of science and engineering-related areas such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aviation, biotechnology, photonics, or telecommunication and internet technologies. It will allow you to develop fundamental communication, IT and finite mathematics skills and to select foundation-studies streams in areas such as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, mathematics and computer programming.

The course provides a direct entry into Swinburne Sarawak degree courses for students who have completed SPM/‘O’ Levels or equivalent qualification.

Malaysian students are required by the Ministry of Higher Education to successfully complete the Compulsory Subjects (Mata Pelajaran Wajib) prior to graduation.



For students who have completed SPM/'O' Levels or equivalent qualification, this course provides direct entry into the degree courses in the Sarawak campus.

You can also progress into Hawthorn bachelor degree in science, computer science and engineering if you complete the course with the required marks and prerequisite subjects.


With further studies, graduates are equipped for careers in areas such as automotive engineering, biotechnology, consumer-electronic design, computer-system design, electrical engineering, investigation engineering, management, manufacturing, medicine, mining, network administration, photonics, robotics, telecommunications and transport.
