About the course |
The Master of Management is a general management qualification that enables students to pursue a managerial career in any industry or sector of their choice. The program trains students in key managerial functions, including financing, marketing, human resource development, business development, strategic direction, and corporate governance. It develops their capacity to analyse business situations using concepts and frameworks from different areas of management and formulate strategic responses that take into account the contemporary social, economic, and regulatory environment of business. |
The Master of Management is a three-tiered program that allows students to chart their progression along the following stages: Stage 1: Graduate Certificate of Management Stage 2: Graduate Diploma of Management Stage 3: Master of Management Note: Students enter the program at Stage 1 (graduate certificate) and progress through to Stage 2 (graduate diploma) and Stage 3 (master). Progression from Stage 2 to 3 will be dependent on the completion of all units at Stage 1 and Stage 2. Each stage comprises four units of study, each worth 12.5 credit points. To be eligible for the award of the Master of Management, a student will need to satisfactorily complete a total of 150 credit points. Each term is of six weeks’ duration and there are four terms per year. Each unit has a minimum six hours of class contact time per week or equivalent. In addition to formal class time, students are expected to spend a minimum of the equivalent class contact hours per week in private study, assessment preparation and project work. * Students holding an international student visa are required to study full-time. |
