Exam Invigilator (Position Description)


The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising examinations and ensuring that the conduct of these examinations comply with the Assessment & Appeal Policy. This part-time position is required by the University during the examination periods throughout the year.

The requirements:

  • Preferably retired teachers, former teachers or former lecturers or others with experience working in an education institution.
  • Minimum qualification: a Diploma in any discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Applicants must have a good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Applicants must be confident in dealing with groups of students.
  • Applicants must have the ability to communicate well with the students and staff.
  • Applicants must have the ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
  • Applicants must be reliable and punctual.
  • Applicants must be meticulous, strict and positive working attitude.

 

Procurement cum Accounts Assistant (Trainee) (Position Description)


The successful candidate will be supporting the operation of the Finance Unit in area of Procurement. He / she will be responsible to assist in checking and ensuring all Quotation Summary Form received complies with Finance Procurement’s policy and procedure, dispatching Purchase Order to relevant units for authorization, fax, e-mail, copy and file duly signed Purchase Order to suppliers and respective units, informing respective unit’s PA / AO of any incoming fax, to follow-up with relevant units and / or suppliers on those PO issued more than 90 days to ensure all PO issued are still current and valid. In addition, he / she will also be responsible to assist in arranging for issuance of stationery request, checking, sourcing and procuring stationery and refreshment, raising Quotation Summary Form for Finance unit and conducting monthly stock counting for inventories item.He / she will also assist to perform any other duties as required and directed by the Finance Manager and his / her supervisor.

The Requirements:

  • A diploma qualification from a Malaysian or overseas university in an area relevant to the duties.
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience in a commercial or audit environment.
  • A level of maturity consistent with the requirements of the position for independent work, initiative and sound business acumen.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and have an eye for detail in obtaining and producing financial information.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate software applications including accounting packages, MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and to develop cooperative working relationships with staff, students and suppliers.
