What is OPAC
 

OPAC, allows you to find out what is in stock within Swinburne Sarawak Information Resources. This guide will take you through the basics of how OPAC works, so that you can find out:

What is in stock at all libraries in Librarynet

How to reserve and renew 

How to check your library fines

 

Where to use OPAC
 

OPAC terminals are available throughout all the networked PC in the Institution. Go to Librarynet and click OPAC at the top of the screen. 

Click here for OPAC.

To get start you need to login using your User ID and password.

 

Guide to OPAC
 

Click OPAC at the top of the screen. The search options on the left-hand side appear on screen throughout OPAC, so you can start a search at any point. 

You may enter the search criteria (Author, Title, Subject or Keyword) and click on the Search button to start searching.

If you want to know what the libraries hold on a subject, but do not have any details on specific items, you can select: keyword or subject search.

Search results will appear and click on the book title and the item button to see the Copy Location screen. 

Click on the Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak Campus) Location and it will immediately tell you the number of copies a library hold and if they are on loan.
