Access to library databases for library visitors and registered borrowers who are not Swinburne staff or students

The databases listed below (and the online journals, ebooks and other content they contain) may be used by individuals visiting a campus library who are not Swinburne staff or students.

Other databases, online journals, ebooks, and other licensed online resources which are not listed below may only be used by Swinburne staff and students.

  • Some databases may only be used by registered borrowers with Swinburne Library.
  • All patrons must comply with licence requirements, conditions of use, and the Copyright Act.
  • Databases may be used only for personal research and study. Commercial use of library database content is not permitted. See Acceptable use of library databases.
  • Due to limited computer facilities, we may not be able to provide immediate access for visitors and other borrowers at busy times, and a time limit may be imposed.

Library visitors

  • The database can be used only in the library by anyone who visits a campus library.
  • Access from outside the library is not permitted.
  • Visitors will need to show photo identification such as a driver's licence or identification card.

Visitor access to library databases is subject to licence requirements and other conditions and is therefore subject to change at any time.
