Impact of Leadership on Organizational Change
Leadership is a very important factor for the organization in to be successful. A good leadership approach by the Management can help bringing the organization in achieving the organizational goals and objectives. A good leader should have positive personality traits such as openness, easy to communicate, compassionate, empathy and agreeableness with the ideas of the employees.

This study is aimed to study on the impact of leadership on organizational change in the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak (MTACYS). It was aimed at determining the impact of Permanent Secretary (PS) leadership in dealing with change in the Ministry and how it will impact on the commitment, communication and motivation among the Ministry employees. Since the MTACYS has been involved in changes for few times, it is important for PS to have effective leadership approach to bring the employees to achieve the organizational goals and objectives during the changes. As a leader in MTACYS, PS can use leadership styles effectively to improve the performance of the organization.

When the merging of MTACYS start, it is a new process of learning by the employees where PS need to create new working environment to suit all the employees by sharing the same vision of MTACYS. PS need to build more sense of belonging to the employees so that it can help to increase their commitment. Open communication between the management and employees also must have so that the information sharing can be done more effectively. During the merging, it is responsibility of PS to motivate the employees by engaging them in all of the activities done in MTACYS so that they will not feel left out. Besides that, training also need to be given to the employees so that it can help the employees to increase the knowledge and skills where they can use in their daily work.

The research design is explained in detail along about the population and sample size of the study. Then idea of adapting the questionnaire development from the previous research is also discussed and that how the interpretation is done. The analysis of data collection is explained with detail with all the frequencies of the demographic details of the respondents. From this study, it is concluded that the impact of leadership has positive impact on employees’ commitment, communication and motivation during the change.
