Biography
Dr Raphael C.-W. Phan obtained his BEng
(Hons) Electronics major in Computer Engineering; M. EngSc. (Research)
on "Cryptanalysis of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and
Skipjack" sponsored by the Intel Fellowship Grant award; and Ph.D
(Eng) on "Cryptanalysis of Block Ciphers: Generalization, Extensions &
Integrations", from Multimedia University (MMU).
He researches on the security of block
ciphers, protocols and related constructions.
He was Director of the Information
Security Research (iSECURES) Laboratory at Swinburne University of
Technology, Sarawak campus from 2004 to 2006.
He is in the Editorial Board of
Cryptologia, and the Cryptology & Information Security series, IOS
Press. He is General Chair of Mycrypt 2005 and Asiacrypt 2007, Program
Chair of ISH 2005, and in technical Program Committees of Asiacrypt
2006, ACNS 2006~2007, ICISC 2005~2007, Inscrypt 2006, ISPEC 2007,
IWSEC 2006~2007, IWDW 2006, ProvSec 2007, SECRYPT 2007, WISA
2006~2007, AsiaCCS 2007, and WWW-SPRE 2007.
