Qualifications

MA (Hons) in English Literature and Language, University of Melbourne, Australia
BA (magna cum laude) double degree in both English Literature and History, Tufts University, Massachusetts, USA
Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (CTEFLA), British Council, Kuala Lumpur


Work Experience

Christina Yin has held various positions throughout her career. Among them were Editorial Assistant with the Asian Defense Journal, a broadcast journalist for Money Matters, Assistant Producer for the English News and English News Anchor during her three-year stint with TV3, a guest DJ with Radio 4, RTM and a Senior Communications Officer with WWF Malaysia. Christina then turned to teaching at the tertiary level and this included lecturing at UNIMAS and a local college in Kuching.


Research & Scholarship Interests

Christina's current research is on student learning styles. She has written a conservation booklet, and her writing has been published in a number of national and international review publications and magazines. At present, she is a certified examiner for the International English Language Testing System and co-anchors a weekly column on parenting in a national newspaper.

On teaching, Christina enjoys sharing ideas with her students whether in proficiency English or communication classes. She would like to make a difference in the lives of her students, as they do in hers.
