Work Experience
Christina Yin has held various positions
throughout her career. Among them were Editorial Assistant with the Asian Defense Journal, a broadcast journalist for
Money Matters, Assistant
Producer for the English News and English News Anchor during her
three-year stint with TV3, a guest DJ with Radio 4, RTM and a Senior
Communications Officer with WWF Malaysia. Christina then turned to
teaching at the tertiary level and this included lecturing at UNIMAS and a local college in Kuching.
Research & Scholarship Interests
Christina's current
research is on student learning styles. She has written a conservation
booklet, and her writing has been published in a number of national and
international review publications and magazines. At present, she is a
certified examiner for the International English Language Testing System
and co-anchors a weekly column on parenting in a national newspaper.
On teaching, Christina enjoys sharing ideas with her students whether in
proficiency English or communication classes. She would like to make a
difference in the lives of her students, as they do in hers.
