Work Experience
Raymond Chiong is a lecturer at Swinburne University of
Technology (Sarawak Campus), Malaysia. He has been lecturing in Computer
Science / Information Systems for many years. His teaching has focused on
programming (Introduction to Programming in C, Object-oriented Programming
using C++, etc) and database (Database Analysis & Design, Database
Management Systems). Prior to joining Swinburne, he worked in the industry
as a programmer/web designer. He was also once involved in a franchised
business to design and install security systems for clients.
Research & Scholarship Interests
Raymond is leading the Intelligent Informatics Research Group under the
Information & Security Research Lab (iSECURES Lab) at Swinburne. His
research interests mainly lie in the fields of complexity science and
artificial intelligence, and he is directed at investigating the
principles to dynamic modelling and analysis of behaviour of
nature-inspired intelligent systems. He is currently involved in a number
of projects using evolutionary algorithms for combinatorial optimisation
problems.
