Work Experience

Cheng Hoon has worked as a technology consultant, and IT architect with HP, IBM and Syntegra (British Telecom) in Australia in the areas of enterprise application integration and object oriented analysis and design, modeling geographical information systems for utilities, government and telecommunications corporations. At IBM, as an IT and enterprise architect she was responsible for the end-to-end design of an e-procurement system for QANTAS and also worked on enterprise applications SAP ERP for IBM Global Financing. She has also worked as a solution designer for SingTel Optus in mobile convergence billing and fraud detection systems. 

 
Research & Scholarship Interests

	Her interests are in the areas of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) for legacy applications systems integration and the implementation of SOA using Web Services
	Other research interests include e-commerce applications, mobile technologies, telecommunications billing, VoIP (Voice over IP)
