Empowering Women in Entrpreneurship and Business Innovation

Course details

The Ministry of Human Resources has introduced the Penjana HRDF B40 Development training programme to assist participants from the B40 household income group to venture into business.

In Malaysia, about 20% of the estimated registered totals of more than 650,000 entrepreneurs are women. Despite many of them being successful, their actual potentials remain to be tapped. Many reasons have been offered, ranging from societal perceptions of the traditional roles of women as homemakers, to the lack of equal opportunities made available to women, resulting in a market failure that prevents them from achieving their full potentials as successful entrepreneurs. There have also been claims that women entrepreneurs supposedly lack confidence and stamina, placing more importance on family and work-life balance.

Women play an important role in the economic growth of a country. Unleashing the economic power of women is one of the key solutions of achieving growth, dynamism and ingenuity in the global economy especially post-MCO. Innovation and creativity can be achieved in a regular basis with the appropriate tools and techniques to create projects or ideas that add value for any business.

With this course, the participants will be able to manage an innovation and creativity toolbox that will allow them to create innovative ideas that add value on a regular basis.
