English Language Enhancement Program

The Swinburne International Mobility Program is an intensive English learning program designed to develop students’ overall English proficiency and prepare them thoroughly for the IELTS exam.

In this course, students will study the four skills assessed in the IELTS exam: speaking, listening, reading and writing. In the mornings, students will focus on building their overall level of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In the afternoons, they will do practice tests, in addition to reading and writing homework every day. The course also provides students with information about the format and requirements for the IELTS exam in addition to key test-taking skills and strategies. Students will receive regular individualised feedback on how to improve and they could seek further language support from their language instructors during the weekly one-hour English clinic session on Wednesday afternoon. A mock IELTS exam will be administered to students at the end of their learning.
