Trouble attending your exam

You are expected to attend all examinations at their scheduled time.

If you are unable to attend a test or an exam, it is your sole responsibility to notify the unit convenor or Student Information Centre as soon as possible.

Applying for Special Consideration

If you are absent from an examination due to illness, misadventure or other extraordinary circumstance reasonably beyond your control, you may apply for Special Consideration. Special Consideration may also apply if your performance in an exam has been affected by illness or other serious cause.

All applications for Special Consideration must be submitted using the online application form. Applications must be submitted online no later than 5.00 pm of the third working day after the day of the examination.

Applications will be assessed by the unit convenor. Processing of any applications received after the deadline will be at the discretion of the unit convenor.

If you are granted a Special Examination due to illness, misadventure or other extraordinary cause or circumstance, but you subsequently do not attend due to further or continued illness or extraordinary circumstance, you shall be afforded the opportunity to apply for one additional Special Examination only. If approved, this examination will be set in the next examination period when this unit of study is offered. If you fail this examination, or fail to attend the examination, a zero mark will be recorded for this assessment item.
