This is a Cisco lab, catering for HET317 Network Security and Resilience. Students learn to design and construct a security policy and describe its implementation using a variety of security technologies, conduct simple configuration tasks on a firewall, a VPN server and Client and a simple Intrusion Detection System, as well as encryption of simple messages using public key and secret key techniques. These equipment are available in the lab: Catalyst 2960 Series Switches, 2800 Series Routers and Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router WRT320N.
