While there, she managed to secure a scholarship from Sarawak Shell to do her graduate degree at Syracuse University (SU) in New York. After graduating with a Master in Information Management, she secured another scholarship from SU a year later to do her second Master in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation (IDDE).

She returned to Sarawak in 2005 and joined Swinburne in 2010. She hopes that her experiences teaching and learning abroad can prove useful and be utilized for her tenure at Swinburne.
