Application instructions

Follow these step-by-step directions designed to help with your application to study at Swinburne Sarawak.

Swinburne Sarawak participate in education recruitment events outside Malaysia where you can speak with our course counsellor about courses, admission and studying in Malaysia. This is a great opportunity for you to receive advice.

We also have agents worldwide that can help you with your application.

Before you apply

Before you start your application, make sure you have followed these important steps. After checking these details, you will be ready to start your application to study at Swinburne.

1. Check that you are an international student

Make sure you are an international student. If you are not sure, submit a copy of your passport visa page to us and we will confirm your student status.

2. Select your course

Swinburne Sarawak offers courses in these levels of study:

  • Foundation studies
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Postgraduate program by coursework
  • Postgraduate program by research

If you have a few courses in mind, don’t worry. You can list three courses on your application in order of preference.

3. Check entry requirements

It’s important to make sure you meet the minimum English language requirements and academic entry requirements before applying for your course.

Please also take note on the information about Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

4. Review tuition fees

It’s always a good idea to review tuition fees for the course you’re studying for.

You can read an overview of indicative costs or view individual course fees for your course of interest on the courses page.

5. Research relevant scholarships and financial assistance.

You may be eligible to apply for scholarships or financial assistance.

6. Gather your education history

You will need to provide your education history with your application, and if applicable, employment history. Make sure you have relevant information, including your school name/s and year of graduation.

7. Get your documents ready

You may also be required to submit supporting documents with your application. Make sure you’ve got important documents ready to submit, such as:

  • Certified academic documents
  • English translation of the academic documents
  • English proficiency test results
  • Certified true copy of your passport (your passport must have at least 18 months validity)

8. Complete your application form

If you have followed all these steps and you have all the necessary documentation and information, you are ready to complete your application form and apply.
