Alaister Maiyor
Head Discipline & Project Engineering, Sarawak Shell Berhad

Alaister Maiyor, ABS (Ahli Bintang Sarawak), has more than 29 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Having acquired a degree in Electronics & Control Engineering from the University of Birmingham in UK, Alaister has vast experiences in instrumentation, Operations technical support, Integrated Planning, in Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) and Cost Engineering.


Dave Ramana    

Dave Ramana
Head, APAC IT Service Delivery, Electrolux Group

Dave is an accomplished, result-driven IT Infrastructure and Global Data Centre Operations professional. Dave’s expertise, among others includes execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, strategic planning, infrastructure, quality assurance and business process improvement for continuous improvements in operations, and ability to lead and motivate high performance teams with a focus on maximising productivity. An exceptional communicator, he’s a hands-on technologist adapt at putting changes to motion and has visionary ability to take organisational objectives and produce real solutions for long-term success.


Hussin Khan    

Hussin Khan bin Yusof Khan
Chief Executive Officer / Master Trainer, EFXCO SDN BHD

Hussin is a Certified Trainer and Instructor specializing in animation, games, VR and VFX, and is the Chief Executive Officer of EFXCO, a professional training and certification center for Graphics & Motion Design, Game Development, Virtual Reality Development and Visual Effects. The former Head of Education at award winning studio Rhythm & Hues, Hussin has hands-on experience in working on movies such as ‘The Beyond” (2018) and “Origin Unknown”, a Sci-Fi thriller. Hussin strongly believes that real-time production is the next big thing in education, entertainment and marketing & advertising, and is working on creating real-time content for animation, VFX, Virtual & Augment reality.


Jayaram Gopinath Nagaraj    

Jayaram Gopinath Nagaraj
General manager, Blaze Digital

Jayaram began his ‘radio’ career as a Project Leader with Astro Radio’s Xfresh.com before going on to produce Malaysia’s most Digital Radio show at the time – the hitz.fm Late Net Show, eventually heading the Digital Department where he developed Malaysia’s first Award winning mobile radio apps that streamed all 22 Stations. He left Astro to briefly took up a position with Maxis Berhad before rejoining Astro in 2013.  In 2017, Jayaram began his involvement in the creation of Blaze Digital, a digital first marketing solutions provider within Astro and is now focus on new technology development and commercial opportunity for clients and advertisers.


Joyce Kau    

Joyce Kau
Head of Marketing, Jobstreet.com Malaysia

Joyce brings with her over 14 years of working experiences in business development, offline to online O2O marketing to a management role across various industries in among others, financial products and services, international trade, telecommunication, electronic payment and FinTech, and recruitment & human resource management. Joyce dabbled with coding in her university days, the knowledge of data analytics that came in handy in the years she spent in market expansion, building of client base, IoT, strategizing O2O marketing plans and managing teams to drive core business goals. Joyce currently spearheads a team of 5 who works on hirers marketing, candidate marketing, digital and campaign performances, campus marketing, PR and social media.


Dr Mahaletchumy Arujanan    

Dr Mahaletchumy Arujanan
PhD Executive Director, Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre (MABIC)

Dr Maha the Executive Director of MABIC, and founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Petri Dish, Malaysia’s first science newspaper. In 2015, Maha was listed in World’s 100 Most Influential People in Biotechnology by Scientific American Worldview and is listed in the honorific list of Women in Biotechnology law and Regulation, Biotechnology Law Report 2015. Maha sits on the Selangor Bio Advisory Council and is also on the advisory board for Farming Future Bangladesh and Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation for women, among others. She has a PhD in science communication and Masters in Biotechnology from University of Malaya and a degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is also an Adjunct lecturer at Monash University and AIMST University.


Rossnan Cheong    

Rossnan Cheong
Head – Marketing, VIU Malaysia

From investment banking to TV productions, Rossnan Cheong has been through a few industries. Through it all, he is focused on using technology to lead in acquiring new customers while taking brands into the future. Using the structure and goal oriented approach from the financial sector and bringing it into the content creation space, he’s leading a change in the Malaysian TV arena. Bringing a new perspective on how to market TV dramas for the internet connected world through brand and high impact ROI driven marketing.


Victor Gan    

Victor Gan
City Lead, GRAB Malaysia

Victor Gan started his career with Ernst & Young Kuching office as an audit associate and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) and a full member of CPA Australia.

Victor has served as Group Accountant with Brooke Asia Ltd and as a Strategy Analyst for Brooke Renewables. In 2017, he joined family-owned Petra Asset where he conducted feasibility studies and due diligence with a focus on the tourism industry. He then joined GRAB Malaysia as a City Lead in 2018. Victor is an alumnus of Swinburne University of Technology, having graduated with an Accounting undergraduate degree from Swinburne Sarawak, a Bachelor of Science (Banking & Finance) from the University of London and a Master of Commerce (research) specializing in corporate governance from Swinburne University in Melbourne.


Victor Gan    

Zubair Juzar
Business Development – LNG Shipping, MISC Berhad

Zubair is an Electrical and Computer Systems Engineer by qualification and a Corporate Member certified by the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). During the last 7 years, he has worked in a number of technical, project management, sales and business development roles within the onshore and offshore oil & gas sectors. In his early career days, Zubair was an Instrument Engineer as part of the Engineering team working on various global projects such as the Inpex ICHTHYS FPSO project and was part of the Field Engineering team for the Shell Prelude FLNG project based in South Korea. Zubair is with MISC Berhad’s Business Development – LNG Shipping team and focuses on business development activities for long term and project-based LNG shipping opportunities.

So when you visit us this 23 or 24 March, bring along:

  • Your identification card and birth certificate (for Malaysians)
  • Your original passport (for International students)
  • Original certified copies of academic transcripts with grading system and English Language proficiency# – MUET, IELTS, TOEFL, SPM and/or 1119 for application into:
    • Foundation: SPM / GCE O-Level / UEC or equivalent qualification
    • Diploma: SPM / GCE O-Level / UEC or equivalent qualification
    • Degree: SPM / UEC /STPM / Foundation/ Diploma / GCE A Level or equivalent qualification (if you wish to apply for Credit Transfer or Prior Learning (RPL) please attach a detailed program or unit (subject) syllabus)
    • Masters courses: Completion of an approved undergraduate qualification at a recognised university or college

# Students who have not satisfied the minimum requirement in English will be required to take a Swinburne Sarawak English Placement test. Students who do not meet the English entry requirement will be required to take up an English program recommended by the University at their own cost.

Located in the heart of Kuching city, the 16.5 acres Swinburne Sarawak campus is equipped with modern facilities that meets the needs and demands of teaching and learning of our students and staff.

The university will begin several phases of campus upgrades in 2019. Up to RM50 million will be invested in teaching and learning spaces, accommodation, the cafeteria and student hub, and the main lobby of its Chancellery Building.


Getting to Swinburne in Kuching is easy. Flights from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu and Tawau, as well as international flights from Brunei, Pontianak, Singapore and Shenzhen fly directly to Kuching on a regular basis.
