Biography

Ms Jacqueline has been actively contributing to the higher education sector since 2007 and currently serves as the Head of Department for the Diploma in Business and Accountancy at the School of Business, Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak. In this role, she provides strategic academic leadership and oversight of the diploma programs, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and quality standards while driving continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and curriculum development.

Before her current appointment, Ms Jacqueline served as Academic Coordinator, where she played a key role in academic governance and program management. Her responsibilities included coordinating teaching teams, monitoring curriculum delivery, overseeing assessment moderation processes, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance initiatives in line with higher education standards such as MQA and international accreditation frameworks. This experience has equipped her with strong expertise in academic quality assurance, curriculum alignment, and program review processes.

In her current leadership capacity, Ms Jacqueline oversees curriculum design and review, academic policy implementation, program accreditation processes, and faculty coordination to ensure the diploma programs remain academically rigorous and industry relevant. She is actively involved in stakeholder engagement and industry collaboration, working to strengthen connections between academia and professional practice to enhance graduate employability and learning outcomes.

Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Ms Jacqueline remains actively engaged in teaching and student mentorship. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), further advancing her scholarly capabilities and contributing to evidence-based teaching and learning practices.

Ms Jacqueline’s academic expertise is strongly rooted in professional accounting education. Over the years, she has taught a wide range of subjects, including Cost and Management Accounting, Financial Management, Performance Management, Malaysian Taxation, Strategic Business Leadership, and Advanced Performance Management. She has extensive experience delivering courses across professional accounting pathways and undergraduate programs, supporting students pursuing globally recognised qualifications such as ACCA and CIMA.

Her commitment to student success has resulted in consistently strong academic outcomes. Many of her students have achieved high pass rates in professional examinations, with several receiving recognition as Malaysian and World prize winners in external professional accountancy examinations.

Driven by a strong passion for education, Ms Jacqueline is dedicated to academic excellence, continuous curriculum enhancement, and the development of industry-ready graduates, while fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and collaborative leadership within the academic community.
