Swinburne Sarawak Holds Application Week 2026 for Offer-Holders and New Applicants

KUCHING – Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus will be holding its Application Week from 8 to 10 June 2026, 9AM to 5PM at its campus along Jalan Simpang Tiga.

The three-day event gives students who have received an offer to study the opportunity to complete their enrolment in person. Course counsellors, financial aid advisors, and academic staff are on hand to guide them through every step of the process.

For students who have received an offer, Application Week removes the guesswork. Rather than navigating paperwork alone, students can sit down directly with the university’s admissions and academic teams, confirm their place, and leave with the certainty that their enrolment is done.

To ensure this happens, students are encouraged to register in advance to secure guaranteed one-on-one time and avoid waiting.

According to Jason Chan, Director of Future Students, said Application Week exists because a letter of offer to study and the decision to study does not always arrive at the same time.

“We understand that receiving an offer to study doesn’t always mean the decision to study is final. There are still questions that need answers. Application Week is designed to help you answer the question you may have,” he said.

“Come in, speak to us, and let us help you see what’s possible. For eligible Sarawakian students, a fully funded degree under the Free Tertiary Education Scheme, or FTES, is waiting for you to claim it,” he urged.

At Swinburne Sarawak, financial assistance will be a central focus of the Application Week. Notably, eligible Sarawakian students may qualify for FTES, the Sarawak Government’s initiative that covers full tuition fees for approved undergraduate programmes.

In addition, students from households with a monthly per capita income of RM1,500 or below could receive up to RM15,000 annually in stipend and accommodation support under FTES.

For students enrolling in Foundation Studies or Diploma programmes, information will also be available on the BP40 Bursary Scheme, Swinburne Sarawak’s internal merit scholarships, and financial assistance through Yayasan Sarawak.

The university’s financial aid team will be present throughout all three days to help students identify the financial support available to them aside from FTES, and how to apply on the spot.

Application Week is open to the public.

Students who hold SPM, STPM, or O Level results and have not yet applied are welcome to visit. They may bring their academic documents for on-the-spot eligibility assessment and course guidance.
