Biography

Dedicated scholar with over a decade of experience in education, specialising in English language teaching, learning, and acquisition; EAP/ESP; curriculum design; assessment development; educational technology; research and publication. I hold a PhD in Applied Language Studies and Linguistics, with expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, bilingual education, and innovative methods for diverse, multicultural classrooms. Skilled in quantitative and qualitative methodologies and case study research, I integrate rigorous analysis with practical insights to enhance teaching, assessment, evaluation, and curriculum development. My teaching and research experience across Australia, the UK, New Zealand, and Indonesia demonstrates a strong record in publications, global collaboration, and student-focused learning. Committed to inclusive, research-informed teaching, I foster critical engagement, academic excellence, and learner success in higher education.   

Research Interests

Foreign and second language (FL/SL) learning and acquisition; TESOL/TEFL; assessment and instrument development; educational psychology (learner interest, motivation, engagement, agency, and identity); family language policy and its cultural impact on children’s FL/SL development; bilingualism/multilingualism; intercultural communication; technology-enhanced language learning; contemporary and global frameworks for FL/SL pedagogy and curriculum development.
