Please note the Entry Into Sarawak SOPs as set out by the Sarawak state government below. This is effective 1 April 2022.

Definition of fully vaccinated in Malaysia

18 years old and above who have received two primary doses of the Sinovac vaccine and 60 years old and above who are fully vaccinated with any type of COVID-19 vaccines are required to get a third dose of vaccine (booster) to keep their fully vaccinated status. This applies to all citizens and non-citizens.

Malaysia will also accept COVID-19 vaccines that are not listed under the World Health Organisation’s Emergency Use Listing but are approved by regulatory agencies in other countries.



Travel guidelines for current students

Traveller's Checklist

  1. Download the MySejahtera app and create an account.
  2. Check out the MySejahtera Travel Kit here.
  3. Fill up the digital pre-departure form via the 'Traveller' icon on MySejahtera.
  4. Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate here.
  5. Take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within 2 days of departure.
  6. 5 days quarantine for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers. Book your quarantine facilities here.

FAQs

I am not from Kuching. Who can I contact for accommodations?

You can send an email to accommodation@swinburne.edu.my and they can assist you on securing on and off campus accommodations.

What on-campus facilities are accessible to students?

All of our facilities on campus are now open for students!

What if I am unable to travel to Kuching?

Students who have cannot return to campus due to visa issues will need to inform the University via email to ISS@swinburne.edu.my.

We will let you know how you will be supported with your learning through hybrid or online classes before you make it back to campus.
