Standard Operating Procedures when on Campus

A majority of our classes are still fully online. Some classes are also being conducted as blended learning where students who are not able to return to campus can opt for online learning.

Access to the campus is strictly monitored and everyone must adhere to the SOP that are already in place.

Face Covering / Face Mask

I am vaccinated. Do I need to wear a face mask or face covering while on campus?

Yes, you are required to wear a face mask when in public places. At Swinburne, we encourage our staff and all visitors to practice double masking.

Is Swinburne providing face masks on campus?

Swinburne Sarawak will NOT be providing disposable face masks for students who are on campus for approved essential activities.

We encourage you to wear a mask, double masking if possible, whenever you are on campus, and when in public areas.

Can I be on campus if I am partially vaccinated/unvaccinated?

If you are unable to receive your vaccination due to medical reasons, you must present a valid and certified medical note when requested.

If however you do not have a valid and certified medical note, you are required to follow the enhanced SOPs before entering the campus.

You are expected to:

  • Perform RT-PCR test three (3) days prior to entry;
  • Perform RTK-Ag test once a week

All expenses for the above tests are to be borne fully by the individual.

MySejahtera Scanning and MySJ Trace

Students, staff and visitors are required to scan the MySejahtera QR code when entering any of the buildings. You must also switch on the MySJ Trace whenever you are on campus. More information on this is available here.
