Biasiswa Pinjaman Pelajaran Yayasan Sarawak

Eligibility

  • Must be a Sarawakian.
  • Must obtain a credit in Bahasa Melayu in the SPM examination or its equivalent:
    – At least a Grade C in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM).
    – At least a Grade C in the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level).
    – At least a Grade B6 in the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC).
  • Applicable for Foundation, Diploma, Degree or Master’s programs.
  • Must have received an Offer Letter from Swinburne Sarawak.
  • Subject to terms and conditions stipulated by Yayasan Sarawak.

Application Process

Step 1: Register for a Yayasan Sarawak account — upload a copy of your IC on the Yayasan Sarawak website.

Step 2: After registration, proceed to apply for Skim Biasiswa Pinjaman Pelajaran Dalam Negara and upload the required documents:

  • Offer Letter from Swinburne University of Technology
  • PTPTN Offer Letter (if applicable)
  • BP40 Confirmation Letter (if applicable)
  • Both parents’ latest payslips (if applicable)
  • Guarantors’ latest payslips (if parents are not the guarantors)
  • Income tax form / Government pensioner slip / Verified letter if parents are not working
  • SPM certificate
  • Applicant’s Birth Certificate
  • Applicant’s IC (Front & Back)
  • Parents’ IC (Front & Back)
  • Guarantors’ IC (Front & Back)
  • Parents’ Death Certificate (if applicable)
  • Parents’ Divorce Certificate (if applicable)
  • Applicant’s bank account details

Step 3: Submit proof of your online application (Student Interactive System page) to the Financial Advisory team via Servicedesk.

Note: All applications are subject to Yayasan Sarawak’s approval and discretion.

Yayasan Sarawak BP40 Bursary Scheme

Swinburne Sarawak, in collaboration with Yayasan Sarawak, offers a special bursary scheme for eligible Sarawakian Bumiputera students (limited to 100 recipients) who enrol into its programs.

Unlock your potential with the Yayasan Sarawak BP40 Bursary Scheme and seize the opportunity to pursue your studies at foundation, diploma, or degree level with subsidized tuition fees.

Criteria

  1. For Sarawakian Bumiputera only. (For applicants of mixed parentage, the Birth Certificate must state Bumiputera race. Otherwise, obtain a Bumiputera declaration certificate from a District Office in Sarawak.)
  2. For households within the B40 and M40 income categories. Priority is given to B40 applicants.
  3. Must have accepted the study offer and received the Offer Letter from Swinburne Sarawak or an Articulation Letter (for current students).
  4. Must obtain a credit in Bahasa Melayu in SPM or its equivalent:
    1. At least a Grade C in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM)
    2. At least a Grade C in the General Certificate of Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level)
    3. At least a Grade B6 in the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
