60 in webinar on life in the age of Covid-19

We are living in unprecedented times in the face of the covid-19 pandemic. Businesses are struggling, individuals are facing the loss of income, we are restricted to indoor activities, and social distancing adds to isolation and loneliness. Many are overwhelmed, fearful, anxious, distressed and even depressed. We need to realize that we are not alone in these challenges and that they are manageable.

To help address some of these issues, the School of Foundation Studies and Fondation Rolf Schnyder jointly organized a community wellness webinar about “Staying sane when everything seems insane: living in the age of Covid-19”, on 4 November.

The aims of the webinar were to help raise awareness of the challenges in the age of Covid-19, share the strategies to cope and manage mental health challenges to build a resilient community.

It was attended by 60 Swinburne staff and students as well as members of the public.
