Swinburne Sarawak to hold Open Day in Kota Kinabalu on 30 April

KUCHING – Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus will be heading to Kota Kinabalu for its Open Day on 30 April 2023, providing prospective students and parents with the opportunity to learn more about the Australian university’s globally-ranked courses and student life.

The Open Day will be held at Hyatt Regency Kinabalu from 12pm to 5pm and it is open to members of the public.

SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level and UEC school-leavers seeking to pursue an affordable Australian tertiary education closer to home should visit the event to gain first-hand information on study options, scholarships, campus facilities, accommodation or any relevant queries they may have.

Prospective students will get the chance to connect one-on-one with Swinburne Sarawak’s faculty members and education counsellors to explore the variety of courses offered by the university in areas such as business, computing, design, engineering, quantity surveying, science and education.

Students can also enquire about the university’s newly introduced courses, including the Diploma of Digital Media Design, Diploma of Information Technology and Diploma of Early Childhood Education.

Furthermore, visitors can find out more about the scholarships, bursaries and financial aid options offered by Swinburne Sarawak for foundation, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study. Top-performing Malaysian students who enrol in an undergraduate program could even enjoy up to 100% fee waiver through the Pro-Chancellor Excellence Scholarship.

Swinburne Sarawak will be receiving on-the-spot applications at the Open Day event and those who meet the entry criteria will secure a Letter of Eligibility. To facilitate this process, prospective students are advised to bring along a copy of their Malaysian identification card or certified copy of their passport, as well as academic transcripts and certificates (SPM, STPM, UEC, O-Level, A-Level and so on). Trial results are accepted.

The Open Day will also feature informative talks on business, design, engineering and information technology, delivered by Swinburne Sarawak’s academic experts. Students are highly encouraged to join these sessions to gain insight into these areas of study, including the in-demand skills needed to thrive in these disciplines, career prospects and more.
