We are excited to launch a new internal series highlighting the people behind the impactful research happening across SUTS.
Each month, we will feature a SUTS researcher to learn more about their projects, research impact, and collaborators, helping us better understand the expertise within our community and encouraging new collaborations.
Our first spotlight features Ts Dr Lee Sue Han, a lead researcher in artificial intelligence and digital innovation at Swinburne’s Sarawak campus.
Dr Lee recently received the 2025 Inspiring Women in Science Award (Scientific Achievement) presented by the prestigious Nature Awards. Her research applies AI to identify plant species, protect ecosystems, and support sustainable agriculture, demonstrating how technology can play a powerful role in protecting biodiversity.
Stay tuned as we continue to showcase the inspiring work of our researchers in the months ahead.
