Sarawak Women X Symposium 2020 to be postponed

This was a conference announcement, which was eventually postponed.

Sarawak Women X: Global Innovative Entrepreneurship

Women play an important role in the economic growth of a country. Women entrepreneurs in particular, play a vital role in this society by improving the economic status and economic growth through the creation of new products and services. Unleashing the economic power of women is one of the key solutions to achieving growth, dynamism and ingenuity in the global economy.

In Sarawak, raising women as entrepreneurs is a part of a current government initiative. Although women entrepreneurs have become more important players in the entrepreneurial landscape, the number is still small. Thus, an ecosystem that supports the growth of entrepreneurship from start-up to scale up is necessary in a growing economy landscape.

This symposium thus aims to consolidate various existing efforts in Sarawak by sharing best practices from various governmental bodies, non-governmental organisations – to further strengthen the support for women entrepreneurship. In this symposium, successful women from different fields will be sharing their ideas and thoughts with the participating women entrepreneurs on “Creating
innovative Entrepreneurship”; in the 21st century. To make this event more interactive there will be a panel discussion on “Navigating the challenges of being an entrepreneur: our success stories” and a sharing session on “Good Design” from Malaysia Design Council.

Jointly organised by Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, JWKS, SARAWAK Multimedia Authority, and SOCOE, we welcome you to Sarawak Women X: Global Innovative Entrepreneurship 2020. Thank You for your participation. We sincerely hope you enjoy the symposium.
