  • Students from around Kuching were on campus for the Big Day In™ Sarawak event, an ICT careers conference.
  • An MoU between Swinburne Sarawak and the Australian Computer Society (ACS) was signed.

Big Day In™ Sarawak, an information and communication technology (ICT) careers conference, was held on campus at the Multi Purpose Hall. The event, the first local iteration of the Australian Big Day In™, was organised in partnership with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and the ACS Foundation.

The event drew a large crowd of secondary and university students from in and around Kuching who played an active part in the various exhibitions and presentations by industry experts and companies in the field of ICT who had booths open on the day.

The highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Swinburne Sarawak and the Australian Computer Society (ACS), which was witnessed by Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg. This MoU formalised collaborations between the two organisations in the areas of ICT professionalism, promotion and development.
