Congratulations Dr. Chorng Fung and Hugh Leong: RCA - Matching Research Grant

Heartiest congratulations to Dr. Chorng Yuan Fung and Hugh John Leong on their recent achievement of securing the Research Collaboration Agreement (RCA) on the project, “Embracing blended learning in Malaysian higher education students’ skills, engagement and outcomes”. The prevalence of Covid-19 pandemic worldwide has further led to the growth of blended learning due to a sharp adoption of digital technologies. However, limited studies have examined the relationships between students’ engagement in blended learning setting in the Malaysian HE context. This proposed study, aims to address this gap.

This matching grant, worth RM20,000 consist of four university partners; namely Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Sunway University (SU), Wawasan Open University (WOU) and Swinburne University Sarawak.  

We commend Dr Chorng Yuan Fung and Hugh Leong for this research initiative as it embodies SUTS’ strategic direction, research with impact. The four-institution partnership will promote networking and collaborations and fulfil the requirements of MyRA Section G: Networking And Linkages (Participation in National Inter-Institution research-related activities under MoA).
