Prior to joining Swinburne Sarawak as an Associate Lecturer (Education Specialist), Cassandra was an interior designer with over seven years of professional industry experience across residential, educational, retail and commercial projects. She holds a Master of Design from Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn Campus, Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Interior Architecture from Taylor’s University, Malaysia.
Throughout her professional career, she has been involved in developing design proposals, preparing technical drawings, 3D visualisations, site evaluations and inspections, project coordination, and supporting project delivery from conceptual stages through to completion.
Her earlier industry experience includes roles with architecture firms and freelance practice across Malaysia. She also has experience in local furniture craftsmanship and volunteered in community service initiatives both locally and internationally. These experiences have strengthened her abilities in design presentation, documentation, analytical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
Known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail and collaborative approach, Cassandra values creativity, practical learning, user-centred design, and industry-oriented design approaches.
