Biography

Dr Jee Teck Weng is presently a senior lecturer and director (Business and Social Innovation Center) at the School of Business, Faculty of Business, Design, and Arts, Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus, Malaysia. He hold PhD in Marketing (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, 2016), Master of Science in Marketing (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, 2011), and Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Marketing (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, 2007). Following his doctorate, Dr Jee has pursued postdoctoral certificates in higher education teaching and learning from Swinburne University, Australia.

Dr Jee area of expertise/ specialization including advertising, branding, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior, cross cultural studies, loyalty, and sales promotion. Over the last 15 years, he has taught and received positive evaluations for many marketing units, including Research Methodology, Marketing Research, International Marketing, Fundamental of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Management Principles, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Data Analysis and Business Statistics at both postgraduate and undergraduate level. He also been actively supervising Masters and PhD candidates from various universities in Malaysia. Dr Jee also often shares his industry experience and research findings with different audiences and stakeholders, both locally and internationally. He has been actively leading and involving in numerous research grants (institutional, regional, nationa, and international) and consultancies till date. Up till now, Dr Jee published numerous journals/ articles, book, chapters in a book, reports, and conference proceedings.

As an avid and inspiring researcher, Dr Jee also has a strong interest in finding solutions to real world problems in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. This is reflected in the various awards and recognitions he received from various national and international bodies and organizations.
