Biography

Dr. Lorna Siew Ling Liew is an academic and researcher in the field of Economics, with research interests in economic growth and development, financial and monetary economics, environmental economics and applied economics. She obtained her Bachelor of Economics (Hons) in International Economics, followed by her Master of Science and Ph.D. in Economics from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.

Before joining Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus in 2023 as a Lecturer in the School of Foundation Studies, she served as a lecturer at several tertiary institutions where she taught Economics-related subjects and held leadership roles, including Programme Coordinator and Head of Research and Postgraduate Studies.

Dr. Lorna also contributes to academic quality assurance and scholarly service, including serving as a panel assessor for academic audit exercises and as a reviewer for academic journals.
