Biography

Elizabeth obtained her B.Eng and M.Eng from University Teknologi Malaysia. Upon graduation, she worked briefly with the then INTI International University College before embarking her career with Swinburne University of Technology.  She has supervised many industrial-based final year research projects and had been an academic supervisor for industrial placement. She has been actively involved with industry-linked projects, particularly on road and transportation.  Among the notable project that she has worked on was the city-wide Kuching Traffic Study project, in collaboration with local and international consultants. She is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia and an International Professional Engineer with Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).  She has also contributed positively to the engineering community through her role as the Secretary cum Treasurer for the Graduate Section of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (Sarawak Branch). While working full-time, she completed her PhD in the field of deep excavation and soil-structure interaction.
