Biography

L. Y. A. Ng received her BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and MEng in Civil and Structures from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Malaysia, in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Dr. Ng has practiced as a design engineer in the industry and worked as a lecturer in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. In 2004, she continued her study at the Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom and received her PhD in 2008. Prior to joining Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak in July 2010, she has practiced as an engineer in a private company specialized in steel structures. In 2012, Dr. Ng was appointed as the Associate Dean (Academic Practice), Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science at Swinburne Sarawak.

Her research interests include testing and design of steel structures.
