KUCHING – Swinburne Sarawak is taking its Open Day on the road for the second time this year, bringing Juh Swinburne 02 to seven towns across Sarawak between 18 July and 9 August 2026. The statewide roadshow gives prospective students and their families the chance to meet the university’s course counsellors and academics without travelling to Kuching.
What to Expect at a Swinburne Sarawak Open Day
At each stop, visitors can attend a briefing on the Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Scheme (FTES), receive personalised course counselling, ask about financial aid, and submit their applications on the spot. Every applicant will be given a dedicated point of contact for any follow-up enquiries, including on the progress of their application.

Students from surrounding schools visited the Juh Swinburne event in Marudi during the campaign’s first run in April 2026.
The campaign follows the first Juh Swinburne outreach in April 2026, which drew a cumulative attendance of more than 800 students and parents across all its stops.
“The response to our first Juh Swinburne roadshow in April showed us how much it means to families when we bring Swinburne to them,” said Mr Jason Chan, Director of Future Students at Swinburne Sarawak.
“With our September intake approaching, we encourage students to visit a Juh Swinburne event in their town, sit down with our course counsellors, and take the first step towards a globally recognised Australian degree. For those who have already applied, accept your offer and enrol early. Settling your enrolment ahead of time, especially for students moving to Kuching from other parts of Sarawak, will give you ample time to sort your travel arrangements and accommodation.”
He also urged Sarawakian students to make the most of the Sarawak Government’s free tertiary education scheme. “Eligible Anak Sarawak studying an eligible degree programme at Swinburne Sarawak can have their tuition covered in full by the Sarawak Government,” he said.
