Swinburne Sarawak to hold Info Day on 17 July

KUCHING – Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus will be holding its Info Day from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, 17 July.

SPM and STPM school leavers looking to pursue tertiary education will be able to obtain more details and apply for the programme of their choice, as well as learn more about the university on the day.
Swinburne Sarawak has a range of programmes in engineering, commerce/business, science, computing and design from foundation to postgraduate levels. Qualifications are awarded by its home campus in Melbourne.

Its next intake is 23 August.

On Info Day students and their parents will be able to consult and seek the advice of academics from the university’s three schools – Language and Foundation; Engineering, Computing and Science; and Business and Design – on courses, career prospects, course application and the like.

Also to assist parents and their university-going children make better decision on the choice of study, heads and senior lecturers of each school will present an overview of the programmes from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, and from 2:30pm to 4:00 pm.

As students who meet the entry requirement of their chosen programme will be offered a place at Swinburne Sarawak, they are advised to bring along their SPM or STPM results.

An application fee waiver will also be given when they apply for a programme on the day.

A quick aptitude test is available to those who are undecided on the course of study. Based on the result of the test counsellors will then guide them on the course options available to them.

For the convenience of parents and students who may be interested to find out about study loans and scholarships, a Yayasan Sarawak booth will be available.

Campus tours will also be available upon request for those who are keen to learn more about facilities and services at Swinburne Sarawak.
