Student Study/Leisure Area (B001 – B003)

Student Study/Leisure Area is located at the ground of Block B, whereby students can enter this 24-hour area through a dedicated door using their Swinburne ID card.

BYOD Learning Space (B413)

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Learning Space is located on the 4th floor of Block B, whereby students can enter this 24-hour area through a dedicated door using their Swinburne ID card.

It has dedicated power points for each user with Wi-Fi coverage.

Hybrid BYOD (A208)

This room is available for access 24/7 and accommodates up to 52 pax with 10 computers pcs available for use.

The Junction (Borneo Atrium)

This study space will be open around the clock during the semester dates:

  • starting Monday 29 April – 4 August 2024
  • 2 September – 22 December 2024

Services and facilities at The Junction (both levels):

  • Charging stations
  • Collab. booths
  • Leisure seating and other different seating arrangement
  • Printing station
  • WiFi


The doors to the E-Block will also be open to facilitate access for anyone passing through the area and walkway.

Those with disabilities, particularly those in wheelchairs, can enter and exit The Junction through these doors after the library has closed. They can get to the lift via the walkway.

Reminder:
Before entering the Junction, all users MUST scan their Swinburne ID card.
Anyone entering the area must scan for the Library to monitor the traffic and usage of the space. Every user who arrives in a group needs to scan as well. We appreciate your cooperation.


Your responsibilities

  • Your Swinburne ID card is for your use only. Do not bring others in and do not prop the door open.
  • Respect other users by keeping noise to a minimum.
  • Please do not bring food and drinks into the area. Plain water is allowed.
  • Keep the study area clean and tidy: use the bins provided.
  • Carry your Swinburne ID card with you. Security staff may ask you to leave if you don’t.
  • Go home if you get tired.  Sleeping in the study area may compromise your personal safety.
