Swinburne Sarawak Rowing Club (SSRC) was established in 2010 and has been so far one of the most successful clubs in Swinburne University Technology Sarawak. It has achieved recognition in regional and national levels by competing in several regattas.
Most notably the prestigious Sarawak Regatta where the “Swinburne Pirates” (currently Swinburne Pythons) has been champion twice and also in the pole position twice. The club portrays a multicultural group which are open to anyone regardless of race and background which we have been accredited and have won multiple Fair Play trophies.
SSRC also earned its fame in local newspapers. SSRC holds weekly practice sessions that welcome all students. Since rowing is a water sport, the club guidelines have strict safety regulations regarding life jackets and certain rowing procedures to assure students of a safe and fun experience.

We love cycling, and we want to help even more people fall in love with it too.
So however you ride, the club have a range of easy ways for Swinburne students to get involved. We offer the best routes, the friendliest support, and some cracking places to ride and visit along the way that Kuching has to offer!
The club provides bike rentals for a minimal fee of RM3 per ride inclusive of helmets. We organize city rides every Friday 4.30pm and for the more adventurous bunch, longer distance scenic rides on Sunday mornings! We also participate in various charity fun rides and competitive races.
Cycling’s even more fun when you ride with other people and that is exactly the experience we have to offer. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t ridden a bike for ages or if your wheels have seen better days, all new members are welcome! Kendo (剣道), meaning “Way of The Sword”, is a modern Japanese martial art that teaches practitioners about swordsmanship. In training, swords are replaced by bamboo sticks called Shinai. Trainers (Kendoka) are required to wear protection equipment to prevent injuries during sparring (keiko).
It is originally developed as a safe form of sword training for Samurai. It is both physically and mentally challenging activity that combines martial arts practice and values in the form of a sport.
This club is affiliated with Malaysia Kendo Association (MKA). Equipment required: Shinai, kendo uniform (takes one week to arrive as the equipment is ordered from overseas)

The club was formed in July 2014 with aid from Frontier Archery Kuching. The club often hold it’s weekly sessions at the Frontier Archery range in Jalan Song. The sessions will normally vary it’s shooting distances from 9m to 15m.
