The 2017 season will be the 9th-year of the club program developed.Mostly Boys Club teams have been participating in competitive Masiswa Swinburne Sarawak Borneo Basketball Competition and tournaments throughout in Kuching since 2015. Each team participates in a league based on each teams competitive make-up and level. In addition, teams participate in tournaments throughout Kuching and have expanded by organizing competition in Swinburne Sarawak. In addition, part of our committees has represented Swinburne Basketball Club to assist East Basketball League 2016 & 2017 and Dato Jimmy Poh Cup 2016 as Table Official.

Welcoming everyone to join in on the fun, Swinburne Sarawak Ultimate Frisbee Club is proud to act as a platform for anyone who has an interest in Ultimate Frisbee, be it an experienced player or a beginner wanting to pick up this sport to meet up, play Ultimate and participate in exciting activities hosted by the club, all while having a great time!
Ultimate Frisbee is a mixed gendered non-contact sport which is usually played on the field. A flying disc is passed from player to player with the goal of reaching the opposing side’s end zone. The Ultimate game also involves a high level of sportsmanship, commonly known as the Spirit of the Game. Do come to our pick-up sessions which are held twice a week to find out more! The club is working on being more widely recognised especially among the Ultimate community. As such we have successfully host our first hat tournament known as Meow Meow Hat in the year 2016. Aikido is a sophisticated Japanese martial art which consists of entering and turning movements that redirect the momentum of an opponent's attack, and a throw or joint lock that terminates the technique. This makes Aikido one of the few martial arts that does not solely rely on the strength of the practitioner but rather the technique of using the opponent’s strength against themselves. The founder Morihei Ueshiba's goal was to create an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury thus people of all ages and size could practice this art without risking a serious injury.MISSION

Swinburne Sarawak Rowing Club (SSRC) was established in 2010 and has been so far one of the most successful clubs in Swinburne University Technology Sarawak. It has achieved recognition in regional and national levels by competing in several regattas.
Most notably the prestigious Sarawak Regatta where the "Swinburne Pirates" (currently Swinburne Pythons) has been champion twice and also in the pole position twice. The club portrays a multicultural group which are open to anyone regardless of race and background which we have been accredited and have won multiple Fair Play trophies.
SSRC also earned its fame in local newspapers. SSRC holds weekly practice sessions that welcome all students. Since rowing is a water sport, the club guidelines have strict safety regulations regarding life jackets and certain rowing procedures to assure students of a safe and fun experience.

We love cycling, and we want to help even more people fall in love with it too.
So however you ride, the club have a range of easy ways for Swinburne students to get involved. We offer the best routes, the friendliest support, and some cracking places to ride and visit along the way that Kuching has to offer!
The club provides bike rentals for a minimal fee of RM3 per ride inclusive of helmets. We organize city rides every Friday 4.30pm and for the more adventurous bunch, longer distance scenic rides on Sunday mornings! We also participate in various charity fun rides and competitive races.
Cycling’s even more fun when you ride with other people and that is exactly the experience we have to offer. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t ridden a bike for ages or if your wheels have seen better days, all new members are welcome! This is a club for all cyclists, whether just getting into cycling as a sport, experienced racer or anything in between!MISSION
Our mission is to encourage cycling for health, recreation, and transportation; to promote bicycle safety; and to further all phases of cycling. All group rides will be announced and updated on our Facebook page.
Leisure group rides will normally be on Fridays 4.30pm and long rides outside Kuching on weekends. For all rides it is always recommended that you wear appropriate kits. That being said, helmet is a must in every ride.

Kendo (剣道), meaning “Way of The Sword”, is a modern Japanese martial art that teaches practitioners about swordsmanship. In training, swords are replaced by bamboo sticks called Shinai. Trainers (Kendoka) are required to wear protection equipment to prevent injuries during sparring (keiko).
It is originally developed as a safe form of sword training for Samurai. It is both physically and mentally challenging activity that combines martial arts practice and values in the form of a sport.
This club is affiliated with Malaysia Kendo Association (MKA). Equipment required: Shinai, kendo uniform (takes one week to arrive as the equipment is ordered from overseas)

The club was formed in July 2014 with aid from Frontier Archery Kuching. The club often hold it's weekly sessions at the Frontier Archery range in Jalan Song. The sessions will normally vary it's shooting distances from 9m to 15m.
Members are trained how to properly wield a Recurve bow along with proper safety equipment. During the club sessions, members are encouraged to participate in discussions with the friendly staff and archery loving community.MISSION

The club was formed in 2010 and the Swinburne Cricket Association has a good history as one of the interesting clubs of Swinburne University Sarawak Campus. We have organized fabulous cricket tournaments so far. Every semester, we organize a cricket tournament that gather all cricket lovers together. The tournament will be played in two days on the first or second month of the semester.MISSION

Swinburne Badminton Club is a club that encourages Swinburne students to be more active in badminton activities. The club will have a fixed time for members to play but it differs every semester and it will be announced at the beginning of every semester. Badminton Club will also organise at least one in-house competition every semester and the type of competition differs every time. Besides that, Swinburne Badminton Club offers social training for students every Monday night when the semester starts.
