Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is the only international branch campus of Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Opened in Kuching in 2000, the campus is part of a long term strategy by Swinburne Australia to globalize its operations and provide its students with international living, working and learning opportunities. Swinburne Sarawak works in partnership with Yayasan Sarawak and the Sarawak Higher Education Foundation.
Swinburne Australia has built an exceptional reputation in the areas of learning and research with close industry ties. It aims to become a renowned centre for entrepreneurship and innovation, which will be a hallmark of everything it does. Its 16.5-acre Sarawak Campus, only 15 minutes away from the Kuching city centre, offers identical undergraduate degrees in engineering, sciences, business, IT and multimedia. Also offered are foundation and diploma courses, as well as research programmes at PhD and Masters levels in these disciplines. All the courses offered are conducted in English.
