What is Orientation?

Orientation is a program of social and academic activities designed to introduce you to life and study at Swinburne Sarawak. Orientation is the official start to University and is held during the week before classes start. Attending orientation is an important step of starting university so attendance is essential.

What can I do during Orientation?

Orientation offers you social, sporting, study and support sessions and events to help you get familiar with the campus, meet people, get prepared for study, find out who’s there to help and most importantly…have fun!

Activities include:

  • Faculty and Academic Information sessions.
  • Compulsory International Student sessions.
  • Information sessions on the services to help you with personal and academic life: Student Services, SSSC, Library Information Resources, Sports & Recreational Amenities, IT Services and more; events and activities to meet people, build friendships and join various student clubs.
  • Campus tours.

Why attend Orientation?

Orientation is the official kick-off of the academic year for all new students. Attendance is compulsory; it will provide you with the essential information you need to help you make the transition into university life and begin your journey at Swinburne Sarawak.
