Personal Financing

This workshop is designed in 3 parts:

Part 1: Introduction of basic financial planning concepts for young adults.
Topics covered include financial goal setting, saving, and investing, budgeting and financial risk. One should learn how to make the most of their money and learn the skills they need to navigate the complex world of personal finance.

Part 2: Financial risk in the derivatives market.
Topics covered include introduction of the mechanism of the financial derivatives market, real illustration in CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange), traders in the market as the hedgers, speculators, and arbitrageurs.

Part 3: Introduction to personal budgets and personal balance sheets.
Topics covered will be personal income and expenditure, budgeting, personal asset & liabilities, and balance sheet.
