Applying to Graduate

Students need to apply to graduate from their course and to receive their award certificate. Even if you have successfully completed all your subjects, you have not officially graduated and cannot call yourself a graduate – until you have been through the graduation process.

To graduate, you need to apply by submitting the Application for Award / Graduation – 2021 via ONLINE.

Before applying for graduation, you must refer to the Graduation Checklist to ensure a smooth process towards your Graduation.

When to apply and eligibility

You should apply to graduate during your final semester of study, before sitting for your final exams/assessments and before the official result release date.

Be sure to complete the online application before the closing date for your intended graduation.

How we determine if you are eligible to graduate

Your faculty or School will confirm your eligibility with the Graduation Unit at least four weeks prior to the ceremony date.

Important closing dates

You may submit your application any time before or by the :

** Should there be no ceremony due to COVID-19, Parchment Collection / Mail Out will be arranged at a later date.

Sunday, 26 September 2021, 11.59 pm

** Should there be no ceremony due to COVID-19, Parchment Collection / Mail Out will be arranged at a later date.

Notes:

  • Parchment consists of ONE Official Academic Transcript and Testamur
  • Official Academic Transcript & Testamur will only be given ONCE
  • Should you wish to have additional copy of Official Academic Transcript, click HERE to apply. Payment of this additional copy must be made prior to the submission.

 

Any application after the deadline will be considered in Next available Mail out or Ceremony.

Cancellations

If you wish to change your status of attending to in absentia or vice versa, you must advise the Student Central or Graduation Unit by email or by submitting an Amendment to Application for Award / Graduation at least 1 month prior to the ceremony.

You can only amend your graduation status once.

If you provide less than 1 month notice, you will be charged RM100 for administration/cancellation fee.
